Hi everyone! This post is a quick update on where I will be for the next few weeks and why.
As of Wednesday, June 10th, I will be moving to Michigan for the next 10 weeks! Now I know what you’re thinking; it’s all very sudden! Why would I do that??
I got a job on Junior Staff at the summer camp I have attended since I was 9 years old! This position is pretty much my dream job. I’ve always wanted to work at camp, and I am so, so, so excited to go and do what I love for the next 10 weeks. It’s been a very exciting (yet stressful!!) process to figure out the logistics of moving me to MI, but it’s all worth it. I am thrilled that I will be spending the rest of the summer serving God, and helping campers to have the best Summer ever! I also believe that this will be great practice for the Race, especially when it comes to learning to live in Christian community with others full time.
The past few months have been a whirlwind of schoolwork, paper work, part-time jobs, and changing plans, and I want to thank you all for sticking with me through this wild and crazy time. For the first two weeks, I will be without a phone or any other device, but I will be available to contact again after June 19th. After staff training, I plan to update this blog even while on staff at camp, so make sure you check in for more updates 🙂
