Welcome to my blog!

Some of you may be wondering why I am going on this trip so to answer that question, I have been thinking about going on another mission trip since I went to Guatemala in 2017. Recently, I started thinking that  the summer before going to college is a really great time to take the opportunity to go on another mission trip so I found Adventures in Missions and applied.

Now I am going to Costa Rica in July of 2020!! Matthew 28:19 says “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”. I know most people like to highlight “Go therefore” in this verse but what stands out to me is the command to “make disciples of all nations”. Yes, I am going somewhere to make disciples but I want my focus to be on that over where I am.

I also want to share some other things  that led me to apply for the trip to Costa Rica. This past June my grandpa (Poppy) passed away and as I was remembering and celebrating his life I realized how much I want to be like him. He lived his life for Jesus and served and loved others SO well; that is how I want people to remember me. I want to serve and love people all over the world to show them Christ’s love and the hope they can have in Him.

During my time with Adventures in Missions, I hope to find community, grow in my walk with the Lord, and make disciples. In Costa Rica, my team and I will be doing a variety of things including working with a surfing ministry, painting, construction, and community outreach.

I would love all of your support while I am there and preparing to go. Some of the ways you can do that is by praying and encouraging me and financial support. You can support me financially by buying T-shirts, giving on my blog, or anyway that’s best for you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog!

Anna 🙂
