lessons from georgia :: this is the first blog in a series i’ll be writing and posting in the month of december, inviting others into the things the Lord has been speaking into my life over this past season in gainesville, ga.
//
So, I haven’t written on this blog in the past two months. It’s not that God hasn’t been teaching me anything (because I promise you, HE HAS), but because I didn’t want to put out a blog for everyone to read without knowing that God was done teaching me that lesson.
And that’s the thing: He’s never going to be done teaching us. He’s an infinite God, who loves us and wants to be in a relationship with us where we fully know Him and are fully known. That’s going to take all of eternity! And it’s so GOOD.
Knowing that, there’s no way I could sum up all of the things He’s been teaching me in Georgia in one blog, or even a few. But I’ve learned that sharing my story (the story of what God is doing in my life) is so, so important because it shows others what He can do and invites them to partake in the work He is doing. When I write about how He told me to be open with my future, or how I choose to be intentional with my team, my vulnerability opens up a space for others to be vulnerable as well and to share in my experience.
Even though I won’t be able to fully explain everything that’s happened in this past season and not everyone will understand, storytelling invites others to come, sit at the table, and partake.
