I want to give a shout out to all my supporters including the anonymous ones, its truly humbling to see God work through all of you. Even though donations have slowed down, God continues to show me He will provide for me, either by sending someone my way to check on me or having people donate to my trip just when I am feeling discouraged.
I think its very important that I am focusing on building a support family and team, which to me means it needs to be a two-way street, not only you praying and supporting me, but I want to pray and support you. I want to hear from all of you, either just hearing about what’s happening in your life, or hearing any prayer request or praises you have. You can do this by commenting on my post or sending me an email ([email protected]).
Lastly, I want to give thanks to God, Who deserves all the glory. I am continuously in awe of all the amazing things He is doing in my life. It is crazy to me how much He cares about me, He not only provides for the big things in my life, but He also cares about the little things that give me joy. During these past few months with the lockdown I have been going stir crazy, the one thing that has been giving me a sense of accomplishment has been my daily devotions and running. Throughout this month I have been running a couple times a week and setting goals to hit by the end of the month, I prayed to God to give me the ability to endure through my runs to meet these goals and I am happy to say I not only was able to meet those goals, but surpass them. At first when I passed those goals I was like, “wow look at me go, I am doing so good!” but then I realized that none of that was me, it was all God, He cared enough about a little thing like my running goals and made it happen to bring me joy and a sense of accomplishment. This realization left me speechless, its such a little thing, but God cares enough about me to go out of his way to make little things like that happen to make me happy. I want to encourage all of you to look for these little things during your day, anything from Him helping you meet your goals for the day to him providing toilet paper.
Dear God,
Thank You so much for caring for not only our physical needs, but also our mental needs. Thank You for not only providing the things we need to serve You, but also the little things we want that bring us joy. Thank You for being the light in this dark time, thank You for everything You do for us every day, even the things we don’t notice or think about that You do to help us and make our lives easier.
In Your name I pray, amen.
