This week has been a crazy whirlwind of blessings and God proving himself sovereign to me. My week began this Monday, i had the day off and was able to set aside most the day to work on fundraising and connection with my amazing team of supporters. While God has proved himself to me again and again i was still in doubt that i wouldn’t be able to raise all the money i needed for the trip. I spent Monday in doubt, while i was staring at my computer screen, looking at the list of donations God has blessed me with, i caught myself being discouraged, as if he hasn’t already proven himself to me. I decided i needed to stop having anxiety about money, i needed to put it in Gods hands and trust that if this is his will, he will provide the money for me to go. Less than four hours after i decided to put it in Gods hands i received an email about a large donation that was just made towards my trip. When i saw the email i just sat there staring at my phone, i couldn’t believe the number i was seeing, i didn’t know whether to jump for joy or cry. I sat there in aw of how amazing and faithful God is to me and how hes proven that this is what he wants for me at this point of my life.

Not even two days after God blessed me with that donation i was back to my discouraged ways. While i still had faith that he would provide, i wasn’t putting it 100% in his hands. I still caught myself discouraged and worried about fundraising throughout my day. Wednesday i was working a double at the restaurant i work at, i was going about my afternoon, taking food to tables and running expo trying to run a smooth shift, overall i was having a good afternoon. I was running food out to a father and daughter during lunch and as i sat the food down the father stopped me and asked if he could pray for me. I stood there caught off guard for a second, in my four years of working at this restaurant i had never had anyone ask me that. He said “we are going to pray with our meal and i wanted to know if there is something we could pray for you”, i excitedly told him about my trip and asked him to pray over fundraising for me. Then in the middle of the restaurant we all bowed our heads and he prayed for me and my trip, for God to provide. I then went about my work day, still caught off guard, i was trying to wrap my head around what that meant, if it was just someone asking to pray over me, or if God was going out of his way to send people to me for encouragement. Before the guy left the restaurant he pulled me aside again and said that he wanted me to know that God doesn’t want me to worry about fundraising, God has it 100% under control and he will provide. I started to realize that everything that happens is purposeful, even though i didn’t realize it when it first happened, God did send that man there to encourage me, and to show his faithfulness. While i know i will still have moments where i doubt God, i ask all of you to pray that i am able to work to continue to put my faith in him everyday. Thank you all so much for your support and prayer, i hope that this post will encourage some of you to put any fears or anxiety you are having in Gods hands.
