As we prepared for our activation from a teaching on Asking The Lord (fondly known as ATL) we were given sticky notes to write down what we heard in order to be split in groups. I entered into the throne room to ATL what He had in mind for that day.
Pupusas.
What?! That had to have been my brain. Well, I’ll write it down along with a few other things so it doesn’t seem weird. The staff prayed over our cards and what groups to split us into to go out and do ministry.
“You ready to get some pupusas?” My staff friends Grace & Jack asked enthusiastically. Turns out they had agreed LAST week that they would only stay for ministry that day if someone got the word… wait for it…. “Pupusas.”
I’m not here to say that every random thought about food you have is from God, but I am here to say that He speaks and He speaks even in the little things. Satan’s very first attack on man was getting Eve to question what the Lord had said (Gen 3:1). The enemy doesn’t have new tricks. You are the Father’s child; you are His sheep. His sheep hear His voice and follow it (John 10:4).
So, are we sheep willing to listen not only in the big moments of life, but also in the quiet and seemingly ordinary moments?
MINISTRY UPDATE: This week was filled with children’s laughter as we continued with English and bible lessons. Jubilee also helped start construction on a house in the mountains and paint a church in the city. Here is a little highlight reel!
