Having talked about South America, that obviously begs the question: what am I looking forward to seeing in Eastern Europe? I don’t speak those languages AT ALL. I’m gonna try and learn a few phrases before I go, but I expect Eastern Europe will be a real and different challenge. I think that’s what I’m looking forward to. The challenge of a new environment, a 100% different culture, and a different religious way of thinking. I’m excited to be exposed to a culture that isn’t predominantly Christian. I want to learn about the people who live outside my bubble of Christianity. I truly do believe that meeting people who think differently about these things will make me better at sharing my faith. I mean, after all, how do you connect with people you’ve never taken the time to even try and understand?
