Hi! My name is Rebekah Walker and I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of World Race Semesters! Let me tell you a little bit about myself! I am a junior in college and I currently attend the University of Missouri – St. Louis. My major is graphic design and I am super passionate about what I do. Both classes and work keep me pretty busy, but in my free time I love getting coffee with friends, watching movies, playing volleyball, and laughing with my family. Speaking of family, I am incredibly blessed to be one of seven kids. Being a part of such a big family has it’s good and bad moments, but overall I truly do love it. Another cool thing about me is that I am actually a triplet! I am the youngest in a set of two girls and a boy. They’ve been by my side since before day one —we were womb-mates— and they are my best friends. I’ve lived in St. Louis my whole life and I’m a big Cardinals and Blues fan! I will always call St. Louis home regardless of where God takes me in the future.
For years now, I have had the desire to be in ministry. Several years ago, God gave me the dream to someday go into missions, possibly full-time. I’m open to God’s leading wherever he takes me, but for right now though I am content where he has me. I have so many opportunities to serve with campus ministries and with my church. In the summer of 2019, I went to South Africa with World Race Semesters and that trip impacted my life incredibly. I fell in love with Africa and, now, I have another opportunity to go to Zambia this summer! I’m stoked to see God move in different and greater ways than he did even last year!
Thank you for checking out my blog and please keep checking back for more posts and updates about my preparations for the trip as well as about my heart for missions!
