Tomorrow we will be leaving Monument Colorado to head to Westminster Colorado. We have been staying at our coaches house for a month. We have had time to rest and recuperate after our abrupt departure from the mission field in Peru. While here, Randy and Dawnette have showered us with love and good food. We have reunited as a group and had multiple spirit-filled speakers. Every morning we have an hour of Jesus time and we get an adventure day and Sabbath every week. God has given us abundance.

As we enjoy our last Sabbath in the safety of Randy and Dawnette’s house I cannot help but wonder how our next stop will be. From what I hear, we will be sleeping in our tents and there are a lot of people living at the ministry. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t anxious but I am reminded that God will provide. I have absolutely loved being with hosts that love us and spoil us but I know God will take care of us wherever we go.

Being a missionary or even a Christian is not about comfort. We are called to go out of our way to speak life to others. We are called to be like Jesus and minister to the people rejected by society.

On Friday we had an Ask The Lord day which basically means we have a day of very few plans and we just follow as the Lord leads. This Friday were dropped off in Old Colorado City. Sabrina, Bethaney, and I walked around as a group and talked to people that the Lord highlighted. First, we spoke to a father and son who were Christians and shared about how the Lord had provided for them. We prayed for them and continued on. The next lady was at a home for people with special needs. She was excited to speak to us and told us she was moving out soon. We prayed for her and continued on.

The last man we came across was in a wheelchair. He was missing a shoe and told us he was currently homeless but he was moving into a hotel soon. He shared that he had been hit by a car at the end of February and had died in the road. He was revived and had multiple surgeries on his leg, scapula, clavicle, and ribs. We listened to his story and asked if he was a Christian. He said yes so we asked to pray for him. He wept. Bethaney and Sabrina laid hands on him. They later revealed that they felt that he needed to know they were not disgusted by him. During the prayer I felt God asking me to give him a mask. I asked him if he had one and when he said “no” I gave him my love everyone always mask. After he read it he laughed and said thanks.

If we really ask the Lord you never know who he will put in our path. I cannot wait to see what God will do next!

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
