Prince Caspian (Me): “I do not think that I am ready.”

Aslan (God): “It is for that very reason I know you are.”

God isn’t worried when we don’t think we have the ability to do what He has asked us to do. Because He knows that He can give us the strength and ability that we in and of ourselves lack. All we have to do is choose to say yes, despite our perceived lack of ability. God doesn’t care if we are or are not ready at the moment because He isn’t looking at the moment we’re in. He is looking at the future He has in store for us, and the person He has made us to be. He is not focused on our present state of being like we tend to be.

We need to figure out that it is okay that we can’t do all things in our own strength. But we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13). We need to adopt the mindset that Paul had in 2 Corinthians 12. We need to remember that God is bigger than our lack of ability. God is bigger than our weakness. God is bigger than our present circumstances. And His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).
