Hello everyone! I am writing to ya’ll from the Atlanta International Airport! My leaders, teammates, and I have made it through training camp and speaking for all of us— IT WAS GREAT! In just three short days my team have all grown so close to one another and it’s so exciting to know that I will be serving the Lord with all these special people. Training camp means exactly what it says. It made us realize how some people have to live around the world and how blessed we are to even have normal showers in our homes. I spent the past three days eating my meals with my bare hands, taking bucket showers, and having to pull out a very thin mattress to sleep on. If you don’t know what a bucket shower is, it is when you have a big bucket and fill it with very cold water and bring it into your little stall and you have a cup to scoop the water our and pour it on yourself. I am not complaining about the way we lived but it has been very different and it made me realize how little people have in other countries. Training camp not only brought all of my teammates and I closer together but it brought us all closer to God. We had a lot of worship and many people come speak to us and it truly brought all of us closer to God. Training camp was a success and now it is time for my teammates and I to go make a difference in other countries. All my teammates have such huge hearts for the Lord and it thrills me to know what a difference we will all make in the lives of so many people the next three months. We got here to the airport at 8:00am and our flight was scheduled to leave 7:00pm. So we have all been anxious to get out onto the field and bring many people close to God. I am writing to you right now from Atlanta and it is almost 5:00pm here. So we leave in about two hours but just wanted to let everyone know how much help training camp was and how ready my teammates and I are to serve for God!
