Hello!
So much has gone on since my last update, one thing im sure you have not missed (or maybe you have, but if so… im not sure how) is this whole Covid – 19 situation that is affecting the whole world.
First I wanted to make a comment on this whole “shelter in place” thing. I wanted to encourage each of you with a Psalm that is pretty popular at the moment. You may have already guessed which one I am talking about…. that’s right the 91st Psalm.
Psalm 91
1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”
I honestly dont want to break down this psalm, or add anything extra to it. I want the Word of the Lord to speak directly to you as is. I just wanted to share it with everyone as a form of encouragement. As well as a reminder that during this time as we are all suggested / required / told to “shelter in place” that our true shelter, should be in the Lord. If we seek him and his presence, we could and should take up a lifestyle of “shelter in place” with the place being the Lord.
In other news:
For those of you with questions concerning the actual world race. As of now Adventures in Missions (AIM) has brought back all of the squads that were out on field. They are working diligently to figure out the best time and way to work all the technical side of things out. As of right now my Jan 2021 unscripted squad is still set to launch in Jan. I am praying and hoping that this whole Covid-19 thing will be cleared up by then, and I will try my best to keep everyone up to date with any changes that are directly related to me and my squad.
My heart has been for the nations for as far back as I can remember and my desire to be apart of taking the Gospel to the nations has not been removed by this virus. So I AM still fundraising money and accepting donations to be prepared to go out on the field whenever it is safe to do so. I am thankful for the staff of Adventures In Missions for doing such a good job at looking at all the parts of this thing, and trust them to Hear from the Lord and making wise decisions on if/when it is ok to send people out into the field again.
Also during this “shelter in place” time the household and family I live with have decided to partner with Jesus in helping however we can during this time. Which has been AMAZING. Our household is currently printing 3d masks, sewing home made fabric masks, and everyday looking to see what our local community needs and finding ways to meet those needs. It has been such a fun processes. I am going to be writing a whole blog just on the process of how I went from doing my normal day to day while working at a daycare to sitting here typing this blog with a 3d printer printing out masks next to me, more printers on the way to the house, a whole section of the house turning into a sewing factory, and so much more all within a weeks time. For the sake of the length of this current blog though I will write that one and post it later so be on the look out for it (:
I pray you are all doing well, and if any of you would like me to add you to my prayer list i would LOVE to do so, please let me know how I can pray with you! We can and WILL get through all of this together. Don’t loose hope, and I am here if you need to reach out to someone please give me a call, or send me a message.
until next time,
Michelle.
