The post you’ve all been waiting for… all your questions answered! Well, at least to the best of my ability!

What called you to pick the route you did?

I have a whole blog on this, so check out my “Route Selection” blog for more information, but I chose this route because I have always felt like I needed to go to India; however, as I have learned more about my route I am so stoked for both Romania and Costa Rica too!! So mach sure you read my blog to find out more of my heart behind my selection and what I will be doing!

Do you have any fears going into the race/what’s the hardest part?

Ohhhh man do I have fears about it. I will be living in cultures I’ve never experienced, with people I don’t know, around languages I don’t speak. It’s scary, but also not scary at all because I know this is exactly what God has in store for me and there’s no other place I’d rather be. The hardest part is 100% fundraising. $15,800 is a whole lot of money and it is so hard to raise support but thankfully I have been blessed with an incredible community that has been so generous and sacrificial with their money!!! Shameless plug: I still have about $7,000 more that I need to raise, so please consider supporting me in my journey either through one time, quarterly, or monthly donations through the “donate” tab on my blog (the thing you’re reading :))!

Are you scared of being homesick?

Honestly, not really. Obviously I will miss the heck out of my friends and family and my sweet town of Crozet, but I think I will meet some of my best friends on the race and the countries I will be living in will become home to me.

When do you leave?

I will leave September 1st, 2020!! Ahhh!!!

Will you make a vlog… please?

Undecided, maybe closer to the race I will, but for now I don’t think so.

How are you going to handle the food?

Ugh, you guys know me too well. Yes, I am a picky eater but I’ll just say this: When you’re hungry, you’re hungry. I will be eating whatever is in front of me because that’s what I got. No complaints.

Can I send you letters while you’re gone?

Unfortunately, you cannot, BUT! You can start writing me letters now with dates written on them for when I should open them. I will be taking them with me and will cherish every word you right, I promise!! PLEASE WRITE ME LETTERS BEFORE I LEAVE!!

Well friends, that’s it for now but comment any other questions you have so I can answer them for you! I hope this blog was helpful and thanks for reading it 🙂

With Love,

Mary
