Just out here movin mountains
Some days ministry can look like playing with kids or teaching English, but today our new ministry in Thailand was moving a never ending pile of clay and dirt. Ministry isn’t always glamorous but the Lord can work in so many different ways so you just gotta trust Him.
We just had our first day of ministry and I am so excited for how the Lord is going to work in these next 2 months!! I will get to work with single mothers on a farm area which is basically my dream.
I’ve had a life dream of owning a farm with animals, flowers, vegetables, fruit, and so much mire for the longest time. About a week ago I was dreaming with the Lord and started to write out my dream/plan for my own little farm. I knew I wanted lots of fun animals and a big garden. I also love flowers so I wanted to have fields of flowers growing everywhere. With all the flowers I decided that I would name it Wildflower Farm for the time being. A few days later I found out that the ministry site was called Wildflower!!!! I was so intrigued and excited by the name and I know that the Lord has placed me here for a reason. When I actually got to ministry and was given a tour I could have cried it was so perfect! Wildflower is a dream come true and it aligned so well with what I had been dreaming about for so long with so many other added things I couldn’t have imagined. Not only do I get to work on a farm that had been in my dreams for so long, but I get to work alongside so many strong women with children.
From my understanding my days can look very very different. Some days we could be cooking lunch, making soap, learning or teaching dances, and other days like today, it could look like shoveling clay for hours. Now considering what today’s ministry was, I actually had a lot of fun! I got to do the work with so many smiling faces from my team, another team (team Yes), and some of the women staying there. Through out the day I learned a few names and exchanged so many smiles.
Ministry is almost never what I expect it to be but the Lord always has a way to make me fall in love with it! I’m so excited to so how my love will grow for this ministry and what the Lord will do!!
Prayer request: Prayers that we keeps good energy and that our muscles will stay strong. Prayers that our muscles will not get too sore and the we stay safe!
