hello hello! me again,
Before I left, my friend told me to plant flags every time I see God show up. So today I wanted to share one with y’all that I wrote in my journal a few days ago…
‘Jesus I saw you show up today. Your faithfulness. Last night we stayed the night in the Atlanta airport as we waited for our morning flight to Cambodia, and at 2 am my phone got stolen while I was sleeping. As if I wasn’t scared enough to move to Asia by myself, now I have to do it without any communication home. But, (my favorite part). My very first reaction was prayer. I was humming worship songs as I searched for my phone. I kept my calm and perspective. (Please do not read this from a tone of boasting, but of thanksgiving) The enemy tried to throw me off by creating a spirit of fear and anxiety. But let me tell ya, he did not win! Jesus, you did not promise me my phone. You did not promise me communication back home. And you certainly did not promise that it would be easy. But, (that favorite word again). You did promise peace, your presence. You did promise a team that supported me, a team that had my back. You did promise that you would take away any distractions so that I could fall as much in love with you as possible. And Jesus, you were so faithful. You came through with everything you had promised. And Jesus, you do not lose. You win today, and every other day. So nice try Satan’
A little dramatic, I know. But you guys!! He is so so good.
Just yesterday he gave me a scripture (yes, I mean he actually spoke to me and told me to read this verse that I’ve never heard before. wait.. does that mean he’s actually alive?? yes!!! CRAZY RIGHT. ok sorry, got distracted) And in this scripture, he told me that he’s building my endurance. Not gonna lie y’all, this past week has been uncomfortable. But he’s using it to build my endurance to give me an unending hope. Pretty cool, if you ask me.
