Hey everyone, we are almost one week into our time here in Zimbabwe. Things are really great here so far, even though we have very little power, very little water (I am terrible at bucket showers) and have been walking much to ministry. So last month we were partnered with Impact Africa, a very well oiled ministry team that exposed us to many different aspects of ministry. An area of growth while with Impact was in community evangelizing. We were partnered with local pastors and volunteers who have much experience in evangelizing and they helped build a solid foundation for what was to be needed this month. God is awesome and everything He does is for a purpose. This month the roles are reversed. Our team is partnering up with Youth for Christ in the town of Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe. Part of our role this month is to walk with younger adults aged between 18 and 30 and teach them community evangelism. How convenient was the foundation that was built last month? I thank God He arranged our trip in this way, He gently guided us into the role we would be fulfilling for Him this month. I am not going to lie, there were times last month I was very uncomfortable while doing ministry. However, if I had to start the Race doing what we are doing this month in leading evangelizing, I would have been even more uncomfortable. Everyone here is so fired up to spread the Good News to those in their community and they are soaking up any guidance that we have to offer. I am so thankful to be used to help encourage those in this community that are so eager to share the love they have received from Jesus Christ with others. God has blessed us this month. No matter where we are at in life and what struggles we are going through, we can count on Christ to be preparing us for something we cannot see in our future. We can trust the foundations He is building for us all.
Thanks for reading this quick update. Hope everyone is doing well and miss you all.
