What is the first thing you think of when you hear SUPPORT? If you said “money”, that exactly where my mind goes too.
I’ll be honest. I hate asking people for money. I feel if you can’t pay for it yourself you shouldn’t do it. But if we all had that mindset there would be very few, if any missionaries in the world, and that’s not a world I want to live in.
Now there are many different ways to support someone going on the mission field; prayer, finances, donating supplies, dropping them off at an airport, reading and following their blog/journey, and so many more. But for this blog post I’m going to talk about finances.
A little background…World Race is a program designed to mobilize young adults ages 21 to 35 to go into the world and touch peoples lives with the love of Christ through extraordinary acts of kindness and compassion. The program consists of 11 countries in 11 months. I’ll be on the Expedition Route.
So I know what you’re thinking, “11 countries in 11 months! That’s not going to be cheap!” Guess what, you are 100% correct. The cost of the trip is $19,800. Now you see why I need your help. I can’t do this alone and I know that. But the Lord said He will provide and one of those ways I believe is through you.
The Lord loves a cheerful giver and so do I. Please pray and give whatever the Lord lays on your heart, whether it’s a dollar or a thousand, every donation will be appreciated and will bring me closer to my goal.
