Dear David Moss,
Hello David (earthily father), I would like to introduce you to someone. I know you have told me before that you have met Him and that you have seen Him in the world, especially in nature. This natural revelation is not enough to satisfy my want for you to have a supernatural relationship with my Dad in heaven. I want you to know my heavenly Father with the same intimacy as you know a true friend that has unconditional love for you.
Dad, this is Yahweh, the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, and the great I AM. He is most importantly our creator and loves you so much. He longs for a true relationship with you. God loved you enough to send His only son made by the Holy Spirit to live a perfect life and die for you, so you would have an opportunity to spend eternity with Him. Jesus did not only die but rose again and defeated the grave. You may be thinking that you have heard this story, but just give me a few minutes.
Jesus is Yahweh. He came to seek you out and to give you an example of how to live. Jesus brought you every spiritual blessing (Eph 1:3) to live a joyful life and seals your inheritance that you can hope for in the life to come. This is not a one stop shop; you do not just profess that Jesus is Lord and then keep living life without change. You cannot just get baptized and then your name be in the book of life. Matthew 7:21-23:
“Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord’, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is heaven. On that day many will say to me ‘Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works in your name.’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness”
If you choose Jesus as your true and only savior you are seen as holy, blameless, a son of God, adopted, forgiven of trespasses, you can know the mystery of God’s will, you will be given wisdom and insight, you will receive the Holy Spirit who is a guarantee of your inheritance (Ephesians 1:3-14). Yahweh wants you to receive these gifts. Your creator would love to show you all the ways he has perused you throughout your life. These are a few reasons listed above of why I would like to introduce you to Him.
Wow His character is vaster than the oceans. Just look around at all He has created. He made all the different colors, He made huge mountains and the tiniest atom. I have seen his patience throughout my life, experienced discipline when I chose wrong, felt hope in the toughest situations, seen His compassion for His people with my own eyes, He has overwhelmed me with peace, He has sanctified me in love, and He has continually blessed me with more than I deserve. Why you may ask? Because I have a yes in my spirit and a want to know Him so I can be obedient and a partner in His kingdom.
This father calls me chosen, a holy temple, a high priest, royalty, and beloved. I want you to meet Yahweh, because I want you to know your true worth and I want you to experience the things I have experienced since surrendering my life to God. “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). I never knew how to share or how to talk about my experiences with you, but now I am writing you this letter and sharing my hearts desires for you to have a real relationship with the God of the world.
Over the past 4-5 years God has completely changed my life, the way I view people, and my heart for the world. It says you will recognize the disciples of Jesus by the way they love each other and by the fruits they produce (Matthew 7:4), the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-24). I thank the Lord every day for teaching me new things and I want to invite you into a relationship with your true father. His word is alive and active. I know this is not an easy journey, but the fruits and blessings are without a shadow of a doubt worth the trials.
I know you have seen glimpses of the Father, but I pray you step into an intimate relationship. I pray Jesus meets you in your dreams. I pray every day that God reviles himself to you in a new and different way. I pray you heart yearns for a community and that you search out a church home. I pray the Lord opens your eyes to see your worth and value. I pray that you challenge yourself to step out and just taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8). No one can save you or change you, but Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. I pray that you meet them and invest in them so you can feel true love and peace. I pray you find shalom in God.
