Hello! Well, I am officially sitting at the airport and waiting for my first flight to Fort Lauderdale, FL. We will have a 5-hour layover and then I leave Flordia at 11:30 pm to headed to Medellin, Colombia. We will be working with a ministry called the City of Refuge.

The last few days I have said goodbye to my wonderful community and then I spent two days learning and practising safety, active feedback and healthy conflict resolution. I am excited for this next adventure the Lord blessed me with, but I am even more grateful for the amazing community that will be alongside me for the next 11 months.

Prayer Request:

1. I received two keys that each have a word that I will be focusing on during the race. Meek & Pure)

2. Scotland internship, I have an opportunity after the race to intern in Scotland

3. Safe travels for my squad

4. Colombia and the ministry we will be serving

5. My Squad coaches are expecting a grandson and we are praying he is not born until they return home specifically 10/8/19

6. My squad leader (Jo)’s mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer when she arrived to launch. Prayers for healing and for their family

7. That I listen with intentionality and not to respond (meekness)

Cool Quotes:

“His (God) mercies are new every day.”

“Seek to understand rather than fight to be understood.”

“The destination is not the destination, it is the faithfulness in the journey.”

Thank you for all the prayers and love that have been poured over me since this journey began in May.
