Well today as I write this post I have been thinking over the events of the last few days. My garage sale fundraiser and church and preparation for my next fundraiser and I am continuely blown away by all the support and responses and prayers I am receiving related to this trip. Yesterday at church we were continuing our study of Paul and his missionary journey. Towards the end of the sermon pastor showed a  picture of our well know super heros (Captain America, Haulk, and so forth). He made an observation and shared it with us. He told us how he had observed the super heros and they always seem to be portrayed with closed hands. But Paul, one of our super heros of the Bible, seemed to live his life with open hands. This got me thinking about an event from my garage sale. This dad and his son gave me a $40.00 donation towards the trip. They had not come to buy anything but had come to give me this donation. It was all I could do not to cry when they did this. Why? Because from appearances they did not have a lot and would not be someone you would think of receiving a donation from. But they probably have a relationship with God and this might have been something they felt lead to do. They are not going on a mission trip they are people here probably at times struggling to make ends meet. Yet they give from what they had to help someone they don’t know go out and share God’s love to others. Now that’s someone living a life of open hands and living out being the hands and feet of Jesus. So tonight I sit here think of who my super heros are and how they model open hands to God and His will and a life of being the hands and feet of Jesus to others….And how I can better live this out in my every day life. So who are my super heros going to be? Those that live with open hands to God and His will for their lives and through that they live a life of being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Garage Sale updated $900.00 was the total raised at the garage sale. This brings me to a total of $7008.00 raised so far. Thank you so much for all the donations of items to sell and prayers. It was beautiful weather.
