Jesus knew
When Jesus arrived at The Passover, He knew.
When everyone sat down to eat, He knew.
When Jesus got up from the table, took off His robe, and grabbed a towel, He knew.
When He washed the first disciples feet, He knew.
When He came to Simon Peter, who argued that he wasn’t worthy of having Jesus wash his feet, He knew.
When Jesus told Simon Peter “…You are clean, but not all of you.”, He knew.
When Jesus finished washing the rest of the disciples feet, He knew.
When Jesus told them they should follow His example and wash each other’s feet, He knew.
The entire time, He knew.
Jesus knew Judas Iscariot would betray Him, He knew.
Jesus knew, yet He washed Judas’s feet too.
*this is a poem the Lord gave me during a vulnerable time with my squad, and I felt the urge to share it on my blog. I hope this humble and blesses you as it has me. *
