One of my favorite pastors, Pastor Michael Todd, recently said “They call it crazy until it happens, THEN they call it faith“. That really hits home when you have to raise $5,800. I was actually called crazy when people asked me how much I had to raise to go on the World Race. A girl who lived paycheck to paycheck, stuck in the rut of debt, proclaiming in the Name of Jesus, that she would be fully funded, you can imagine how people might call her crazy. Now, imagine that same girl, with significantly less debt, a savings account, and is FULLY FUNDED TWO WEEKS EARLY (eeeekkkkk!!) What people once said was “crazy to imagine”, now say “wow, look at the faith that takes”. It takes faith to look at the crowd who keeps telling you you’re crazy, look them in the eyes and proclaim “the Lord WILL provide“, but that is what it takes.

Several people asked me what I was going to do if I did not raise enough money to go, and each time I replied with “I AM going to go, the Lord WILL provide” which was not easy. Even in the moments I did not have faith to believe it, I still proclaimed the victory that was ahead. Especially in the beginning, before donations are ever made, proclaiming the Lord will provide, will get you called crazy. It gets easier when you begin to see the Lords faithfulness! Before you know it, you’re fully funded, and all you can do is worship while in awe of our sweet Jesus. It takes having a Hebrews 11:1 faith, the faith to believe even when you can not see it. It takes a Hebrews 4:16 faith, to BOLDLY approach the throne of Grace and ask God to provide, in the face of your doubters. I can list scriptures about the faith it takes to work in Gods calling on your life, Psalms 55:22, Proverbs 16:9, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Hebrews 12:11, James 5:13, Matthew 6:25-34, ultimately, it takes having faith. Like young David when he looked Goliath in the eyes and stood for his God. Of Abraham when he was old in age and Sarah was “too old to have children”, but God told Abraham he would be the father of many nations. Of Moses to lead his people into the wilderness, but declare the Lord had a promised land. Of Hannah who wept to the Lord over her great desire to want a child. Of Daniel to face the lions and know the Lord would take care of him, of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego to face the roaring fire and still declare their faith in the Lord. The same God who provided in the Bible, is STILL the God of provision and faithfulness.

Thank you Father, for your faithfulness to me!!!
