Hello!

I’m Clayton, I was born in Odessa Texas, but moved to West Tennessee when I was around 10 years old. I grew up in a Christian home going to a Baptist Church. I came to Christ before my senior year of High School, then went to college at the University of Memphis. It was there that I got involved in an organization called Campus Outreach, which started me on a journey that ultimately led me here. I will put details about my calling to global mission in more articles.

Here are a few things that I love (in no particular order):

1. History / International Relations / Geography / Politics
I put all these things in one category because I love seeing how they all intermingle. I like connecting dots and figuring out how things came to be so I can better understand them. One of my passions is connecting with others despite differing opinions or upbringings.

2. Baseball / Sports / Games / Activities
I enjoy being active, whether it’s a physical game or even just a card game or board game. I also follow professional sports, such as baseball, football, and basketball. I love using both of these things to build relationships, because it tends to bring people together.

3. World religions / Theology / The unreached
This one is similar to the first, except it is specifically pertaining to the Bible. One of the things I am passionate about is reaching people who are unreached by the gospel. I love learning about other cultures and religions and their history so I can better understand them so that ultimately they can be reached by the gospel. I love learning more about God’s word and what it means for all of us.

Here are a few fun facts:

1. If you’re interested in enneagram types, I’ve tested as a type 5, with type 8 and 3 trailing a little behind.
2. I’ve been to a lot of countries, but I have never been to Canada or Mexico
3. I love rock climbing
4. I love sports (both talking about them and playing)
5. I love politics
6. My favorite country that I’ve been to is Turkey
7. I was a lifeguard at Seaworld: Aquatica
8. I love to read
9. I probably enjoy Taco Bell a little too much
10. I think Chick-fil-A is overrated (it’s very good, but it’s not Jesus’s chicken, come on)

Of course, this isn’t everything you need to know about me, but hopefully this provides a bit of a snapshot for you.
