The Lord is teaching me so so much.
This week was the start of my time at Camp Hope, a special needs ministry, and it is truly amazing.
The first day i actually helped clean all day, and if i am being honest, i would have much rather been interacting with the people at the ministry, but the Lord wanted to teach me something and i am so glad He did.
One thing the Lord reminded me of was that how I react to a situation that i may not particularly love is completely my choice, but what will glorify Him and those that i get to serve would be choosing J O Y (!!!!!) and once i did that, it opened the ears of my heart to hear what He has to say this day.
Not one person at Camp Hope speaks English (i only speak a tiny bit of Spanish) and so when someone is asking you to do something and you can’t fully understand and do the wrong thing at first, it is so frustrating! BUT what was so beautiful is that the sweet lady who i was cleaning with, would gracefully guide me through what I needed to be doing and that is exactly what God does if we don’t get it right the first time. His grace and mercy are things i am so thankful for! We may not always understand what He is asking of us or doing I our life, but He is there 100% of the time to carry us through while teaching us such cool things!
Another wonderful thing the Lord has given me is a rainbow every. single. day. There He is. Reminding me of His promises. His promises for my future and for my present. Literally didn’t see a rainbow one day and then I looked over and my leader was creating a rainbow out of all of our water bottles. OK LORD. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSTANT FAITHFULNESS. I AM SO BLOWN AWAY.
i am also learning the importance in the valleys we face in life. There have been some HARD days and situations, but that seems to be where the Lord is teaching me the most. i am so thankful for the hard days and even the hard months i faced before coming here. Every single good moment and every single hard moment is all for HIS GOOD and He just keeps reminding me of that over and over!
i am extremely grateful for all of the kind comments, texts, prayers, and support i have received from so many people i love. You all are so appreciated and i am just so grateful for this time i get to spend with the Lord. He is really growing me and challenging me for the best and it is so stinking awesome. Much love!!!!
