Hello! My name is Chloe and I just graduated from high school! I originally was set to graduate in the class of 2020 but the Lord opened doors and allowed me to graduate this year!
I knew the Lord had an amazing plan in store when He allowed me to do so, but I didn’t know what all it would entail until recently!!
A big part of my testimony is the moment the Lord called me into ministry a little over a year ago. I had been struggling with not knowing what my purpose was. Stuck in a comparison trap. I was sitting on my back porch with my mom and my best friend and we were praying that the Lord would give me peace in the present and reveal clarity to me all in His perfect timing and MAN!! He really did it.
THE NEXT DAY at church, a teacher at my school, who I had never really talked to, came and told me that the Lord had placed me on her heart a while back and so she just began praying for me, not knowing exactly what for, but she was obedient. She said that recently, He had been telling her that I was struggling to find peace in what my purpose was and she said “He has been telling me that you need to go into ministry/missions in some way shape or form. Use your gifts and glorify Him.” I immediately broke into tears and thanked her for being obedient and listening to God’s voice. Yes, as Christians, we are called to live on mission every single day, but each individual calling can look different like it says in 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. It really is such a beautiful thing to realize and understand that the body of believers need to serve in different ways to glorify God to the fullest.
Ever since then, I have been in constant prayer about what and where the Lord wants me to be and He has really been putting international missions on my heart. When I look at my future, I always find a way to fulfill that calling however the Lord allows.
The past month, the verse Isaiah 6:8 has been a recurring sight and constant thought in my mind.
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’”
SEND ME. I have repeatedly been saying to God and right now, He is sending me to Ecuador and Peru for a Gap Semester full of serving Him and learning more about Him and His presence in a new culture!!
There were so many little details orchestrated by the Lord that made this next step in my life possible and I am extremely thankful, confident, and excited for all the Lord has done, is doing, and will do!!
