I’ve been meaning to sit down and write this blog for a while. I just havent gotten the chance to. Month 5 was not easy. This race has been far from normal. But then again what is normal. I thought long and hard about what best describes this month. After praying and praying about it God finally revealed to me that the word that best describes this month is:
PERSEVERANCE
Team Blaze Trailers has had to persevere through a lot. We have survived living in a boxing gym for 2 months, through living in a garage, through literally having no personal time because of all of the ministry opportunities that kept coming up.
The thing God has taught me the most the past month is to keep pushing through. To keep going no matter how many obstacles come our way. As it says in James 1:12- “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” I know Gods plan is playing out. That my journey will never be easy no matter how hard I try. I know as long as I have God by my side I can persevere through anything.
I’ve also learned that the more negative I am about the things around me the harder life is. As long as I look at the bright side the easier life is. While we were in Marysville, Ohio I learned that we would be sleeping in a trailer. Instead of sitting there complaining that I would be sharing a small trailer with 5 people I looked at all of the positive things. That I had a bed to sleep on, that I had a roof over my head. I mean just looking at what World Race America went through last year we have it pretty easy. Life will never be easy. You just have to keep pushing through and stay strong.
