There are many of you that woke up this morning and it is just another Wednesday. It’s just another day that you have to get up and drag your butt to your 8am. It may be another day that you have to get up and get kids ready for school, as you frantically get ready for work yourself. It may be just another day that you get to brush your teeth with the water coming out of your faucet. Another day that you wake up and take a hot shower. It may be just another brutally hot summer day here in the U.S. However, today is a day that I had circled on my calendar many months ago!
Today is the day I leave for training camp in Gainesville, GA! Today is the day that I surrender everything for GOD! It’s the day that I’ve waited years for. It’s one of the last days I get brush my teeth with tap water…..hello water bottles! It’s one of the last few days I will take a hot shower. It’s also one of the last few days I will be able to feel the warmth of the sun for a while…..it’s winter in South America right now!! I want to take a moment and THANK each and every person who both donated financially and has taken time to pray for me and my team! I can’t express how thankful I am for your prayers as I enter into this new season! I am so excited to meet my fellow teammates, many I have had communication with for months!!
So, if you answered yes to the first statement, that it is just another Wednesday, I have a charge for you! I have a charge to make today extraordinary. Do something you’ve never done before, take a chance! Whether that chance be on God or doing something crazy new! I charge you to do it!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
I pray that everyone has a great day and has an amazing week! As I go into training camp I am asking for prayer for the surrenderance of my heart completely and fully to God! I am asking for prayer for my teammates as we meet and begin to create community together. I am asking for prayer that our time together at training camp both honors and glorifies God in every way! Thank you so much to every person who takes time to read this! As soon as I get a free moment in the next week I will make sure to update this blog!
