Hello friends!!

My name is Amanda Baltodano and I am 18 years old. I currently live in Chandler, Arizona with my parents, little sister, and two adorable dogs.

I love to play soccer, hike, draw, paint, and eat. I’m a very active person, and started playing soccer when I was 6 years old. I stepped down this past year after I injured my knee which required me to get surgery. I then switched to track as part of my recovery to build my muscles back and as an attempt to get back into soccer. I was unable, and sometimes my races didn’t go as planned, but it was definitely one of the best decisions I made during my senior year.

I am officially a graduate of Valley Christian High School, where I had multiple unique opportunities. One of my favorites was a two-week missions trip to Kenya, where my team and I worked at Huruma Children’s Home, a local orphanage where we were able to play and worship with the kids. It was a life changing experience and was a huge factor in my decision to go on the World Race Gap Year.

God has put it on my heart to go out and make a difference, and this is exactly what I plan to do. Two of my spiritual gifts are mercy and service, and I plan to use these everyday by building relationships and helping the people around me. Please pray for me and my team as we travel and for God’s love to be shown through us and in everything we do.

I am super excited for this next chapter in my life! If you have any questions, please ask! Stay up to date with my journey and what Jesus is doing in my life by following this blog!

Blessings,

Amanda
