Each day is different and filled with new experiences but this is a snapshot of what my days look like on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Day in the life of a World Racer,, here we go!
I wake up around 6:40 am just in time for
Breakfast at 7:00 am. Breakfast consists of one main course (French toast, pancakes, eggs) with rice or beans and some fruit!
We make and pack our lunches (some sort of sandwich with fruit and a snack) after breakfast
Next is devotions! For about 45 minutes (On Tuesdays and Fridays we have deep dive with Kevin!)
Then I grab my backpack (stuffed with my camera, lunch, bible, journal, and pen)
I head out of the base with my team and walk to the corner of a street to wait for our bus
We get to Itzapa and either take the bus with Juan Antonia, Kevin, and Daniel (on Tuesdays and Fridays) or wait for our ministry host, John, to pick us up
Next we head up the mountain to the village, Panimaquin.
We pull into the Project and meet Ilsi, Larissa, Marley, and Daniel there
My team and I talk to the Lord on “the ledge” for a little while
Then we go and see what ministry looks like for a day! We have done a variety of things so far like.. baking cupcakes, going to the cornfields, cleaning, house visits, prayer walks, playing soccer, and building relationships within the village.
Lunch happens whenever we have some free time or whenever we get super hungry
On Wednesdays, my team and I started a women’s ministry, this past week was our first one and it was incredible!
We started a kid’s ministry on Fridays where we play games, do crafts. sing songs, and learn about who God is!! Oh and we eat lots of candy.
Every day ends with playing soccer, especially on Mondays (because the boys from my squad come to our village to lead a soccer camp)
Then we get in the back of John’s pickup and head down the mountain
We take a bus from Itzapa to our base to meet the rest of our squad for dinner
After dinner, we have team time (it’s different every day)
Then I hang out with my squad for a while
I go to bed around 9-10 pm and get ready for the next day!
Thanks for reading:) blog ya laterrr,
