Pd: Hace 5 meses me escuché de The World Race por primera vez. En 5 meses me voy!!
En los últimos 5 meses, Dios me ha dado la oportunidad de conocer a bastantes muchachos que actualmente están haciendo The World Race Gap Year, en Costa Rica. Esto porque el campamento en el que sirvo los recibe a menudo. Me siento muy bendecida por todos los consejos, oraciones, honestidad, apoyo y amor que he recibido de ellos. Es verdaderamente inspirador ver a jóvenes dedicando sus vidas a Jesús. Incluso solo verlos adorar me llena. (Si nunca ha visto un rato de adoración de World Race ahh, es super libre, espontáneo, genuino, inspirador).

Hace poco llegué a pensar que eso significaba que ya sabía cada detalle de The World Race y de cómo va a ser mi viaje. Peero en realidad no. Dios me ha estado hablando acerca de las expectativas. La cuestión es que no importa cuántos World Racers conozca, cuánto tiempo pase con ellos, si fueron a los países a los que yo voy a ir… es SU experiencia. Si espero que mi viaje sea exactamente igual al de ellos, me voy a decepcionar si algo no sale de acuerdo con mi plan, olvidando que el plan de Dios SIEMPRE es mejor que el mío. ¡Así que he estado aprendiendo a solo tener la expectativa de que Dios me sorprenda, mientras actúo en obediencia con un corazón abierto!
¡En serio estoy muy emocionada por empezar esta aventura y compartir el amor de Dios a donde vaya!
Peticiones, por si quiere orar por mi proceso: balancear la U y la recaudación de fondos (no lo he logrado muy bien), mis compañeros de viaje y la gente a la que voy a servir. ¡Gracias!

Fun fact: 5 months ago I found out about the World Race. 5 months from now I’m launching!!
In this past 5 months, God has given me the opportunity to meet so many world racers doing the gap year program right now, in Costa Rica. This because the camp I volunteer for hosts them every now and then. Great timing, huh! I feel so blessed by all of the advices, prayers, honesty, support, and love I have received from them. It’s truly inspiring to see young people doing crazy stuff for the Lord. Even just seeing them worship fills me up. (If you’ve never been in a worship session with World Racers ahh, it is freedom, crazy, spontaneous, inspiring, genuine).

Not long ago I thought this meant I knew everything about the World Race and what my journey will be like. Buuut not really. God has been teaching me about expectations. The thing is it doesn’t matter how many world racers I know, how much time I spend with them, if they went to the same countries I will… it is THEIR experience. If I expect my journey to be the exact same as theirs I will be disappointed if things don’t go according to my plan, blindsided from the truth that God’s plan is ALWAYS better than mine. So I have been learning to just expect God to surprise me, while I act in obedience with an open heart!
I seriously cannot wait to head on this journey and spread the love of Jesus everywhere I go!
