Who Is Jimmy?
You might’ve heard me call someone Jimmy or even post a picture with someone named Jimmy. This blog is to explain the story behind that.
So a few weeks ago half of our team was going to our first day of school at a brand new school. The first day was an orientation like day and all the kids were following behind us. Two kids came and up were holding my hand during that walk. Dennis asked me what my kids names were and because I didn’t know, I called them John and Jimmy. Though nothing really came from that. Later that day we were playing soccer with the kids and the only name I heard was Jimmy. I started calling everyone Jimmy and then we all started saying it. Two weeks later, it is the name of everyone in this country. You introduce yourself as Jimmy and if you want to get creative you’ll add your first name into as well. It’s really clicked and it’s actually a pretty cool thing. It’s kind of crazy because when you say Jimmy everyone looks and nobody really knows who you’re talking to. We even have a momma Jimmy. We are wrapping up our last week here and it’s gonna be a little sad to leave but so pumped for where God is sending us next. Our mentor from Adventures In Missions arrives tomorrow and Bailey returns with us on Thursday!
