I have gotten a lot of questions as to wether I will still be going on the race…

the answer is YES. As of right now nothing has been changed about my route (other than china). We will still be launching at the end of October!

I am still fundraising and so far all of the things I have planned will remain the same! I am selling raffle tickets for $5 for a FREE photo session! The first order of shirts will be in soon. I am still taking donations for my yard sale that will happen on April 4th. Lastly the spirit night at Ihop will remain on April 20th as of right now!

As always you can donate any amount via my blog! Even a $1 helps! My first deadline is approaching quickly! I need $5,000 to reach my deadline!!

Also to all of you who have joined me in praying THANK YOU! You mean so much to me!

I also just want to address some of the panic going on concerning the virus.

As you stock up on your items, post on Facebook about no TP, or rant about no food/baby wipes on the shelf remember that this is every day reality for some people in under developed countries. Some people live in a constant state of panic not knowing if their family will be able to eat or not. Some people even in America deal with this reality.

There are places that rely on mission teams to bring them supplies. There places that rely on mission teams to treat their medical needs, when not in a pandemic. Most mission teams if not all have been grounded or are being brought home. So as we all try to navigate this mess lets remember the people who are effected by our state of panic. Let us remember that there are people that if this virus gets to their country there will be nothing left because they do not have the medical capacity to deal with something like this.

There are so many people being effected by this and I just want to remind each of US (myself included) that there are bigger things to deal with than the shelfs at walmart or target being out of toilet paper.

So as you take the time to be quarantined the next few weeks I want to challenge you to spend some time in prayer for all of the people effected by missions teams being grounded. Pray for the churches that are effected by this. Pray for all of the missions organizations that have had to stop their ministry entirely. Pray that the gospel can still reach people and that people cling to it more than ever.

If you have extra supplies think about giving it to someone who doesn’t have any or doesn’t have the ability to go out and get some.

Check in on the elderly people who are terrified to leave their house and all those new moms who just had babies. Check in on your people. There is more to this world than your bubble that you live in.

I say all of this with so much grace and love and I pray that it is received in such a way.
