If you have been following along the last couple of days you have seen my most recent fundraiser, the shirt! The design is something super close to my heart and so I wanted to share with you what it means!
Last summer on my world race semesters trip the lord really spoke to me what it means to say yes to Him and His people. When I was in the Dominican Republic I decided I wanted to get a tattoo as a reminder to say yes to Jesus. (pictured below). The tattoo says “yes” in the middle of 2 olive branches which mean peace. I chose to get it on the back of my leg above my ankle as a reminder to say yes to Jesus and walk in peace when I do.
So when designing these shirts I thought that it was fitting to incorporate ‘yes’. Choosing to go on the 11n11 trip with world race is me choosing to say yes to Jesus. This is me saying yes to Jesus’ people.
At training camp our leader, Kirsten O., had us go around and say yes to each of our teammates & this was something that stuck with us for the remainder of the trip and even now. Saying yes to Jesus is not just following Him but it is saying Yes to His people as well.
So when my friend Kirsten P. designed these shirts she included all of the people I will be saying yes to, which is the outline of the map.
So in selling these shirts I am encouraging you to say yes to Jesus. Saying yes to Jesus for you may look a lot different- your yes is whatever Jesus wants it to be. I am also encouraging you to say yes to me. To say yes to praying for me and financially supporting me. Saying yes to me means that you are supporting what God has called me to do. Lastly I am encouraging you to say yes to Gods people. I am traveling internationally to say Yes to these people but that doesn’t mean you have to. Saying yes to Gods people can happen right where you are just be willing to say YES.
So I encourage each one of you reading this to either continue to say YES or to start in this moment. Ask the lord specifically how you can say YES.
Mark 16:15 “He said go unto all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
