The world race is an opportunity of a lifetime. It is one of those experiences that becomes a dream come true when you are excepted. I chose to apply because I felt God calling me to do something out of my comfort zone this summer to participate in hands on missions. I have been interested in the world race since hearing about it from a former racer a few years back. I chose Haiti and the Dominican Republic because of the missions opportunities that will be available. I will have the experience of learning more hands on practical tools to further my experience in ministry. I will also have the opportunity to learn more evangelism tools and work with the local people in construction and just be there to meet their daily needs. I have always been interested in missions and with my bachelors degree I plan to do full time missions so the world race is a practical tool in helping further my experiences and understanding.
