My original team, Team Agua, got a head start here. When we got to Lesotho our passports were only stamped for eleven days which meant we only spent a couple of days there before heading back to South Africa.

Originally I was SO excited to come here because my yoga instructor is from here, but I had no idea how much it would feel like home which actually made me miss home even more!

Debrief in Port Elizabeth

After just a couple of weeks in Heidelberg, Team Agua packed up and headed for the coast to see the squad! It was time for team changes…

We spent a couple of days in a hostel hanging out and meeting about the past couple of months and what laid ahead. Then we were all rearranged and sent back out. Now Team CIA (Christians In Action) are back here in Heidelberg staying in Alfred’s House.

Langeberg Christian Fellowship and Charis Bible College

This month’s ministry is very diverse just like the area we are working in! The town in which we are staying is basically still segregated. Sometimes we work at the church with the Christian school kids and sometimes we go to the other side of town and work with those kids as well.

We got to spend some time working with the bible college while doing outreach with them. That meant sitting in on classes, going to the hospital to visit people, or going on house visits to do street ministry.

Cape Town, Bettys Bay, and The Southern Most Tip of Africa

For the couple of days off we got our ministry host wanted to take us camping (even though we will be camping all of Swaziland and I had gone to these places with my last team) which was a really sweet family fun or team building experience!

Since I missed my family reunion last summer and will again this summer it was a good reminder of all the loved ones I have at home rooting me one while I ‘run my race’, you all are SO appreciated, loved, and missed!

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).
