Hey guys! I wanted to write this post to let you know a little bit more about why I am going on this crazy 9 month adventure with people I haven’t met yet and to places I have never been. In short, I am going because this is what Jesus did and this is what I have been called to do. If I did not believe 100% that this is where I am supposed to be for this next year, I would not have turned down a full-ride to Appalachian State University or scholarships to other schools. Jesus was on mission for all of his life, he was obedient to the father and became the sacrificial lamb who died for our sins. Jesus loves people where they are, he comforts them, he provides them with what they need. I want to do the same, not only here in the States but in Thailand, India, and Costa Rica. Honestly, I want to give my all for Jesus. I am tired of spending more time doing my homework or school than I do with Jesus because when he is not my sole focus, the rest of my life seems like it will be broken forever. I am tired of not listening to the words that God gives me. When He speaks, I listen for a short amount of time and then I seem to forget all that He has told me. I want to build the kingdom and help make Jesus the ruler of all nations and make Jesus known in all of the Earth. I believe that the race is just the beginning for me and that there are better things to come. I am choosing God’s goodness for my life today and saying “yes” to His calling and “no” to what is not.

Will you say “yes” to what God is calling you to do? Listen to His voice and know that He is good and can be trusted. I am confident that you and I will see His goodness now.
