I want to simply take some time and praise God, as I feel like it’s important to remind one another of the goodness of God and what he’s done for me.
God I shout your praises up to the sky! Your never ending love reaches down from heaven and out through every ray of light that bursts forth from the spreading sunrise.
I kneel in wonder and fear at your mighty hand, as the oceans swell, rise, and fall again in a rhythm that moves in time as you bring life with your breath.
I laugh as your joy radiates through my body, the body you created with the gentlest of touches and incomprehensible love;
a Holy Temple dedicated to you, a home here on earth for your Spirit to dwell in.
I sleep through the night in peace, resting in the understanding that you steadfastly stand a vigil by my weakened state,
a squadron of your warriors, your angels, poised and ready to fight off the Darkness.
I fall to my knees, unabashed in my persistent pleas directed heavenwards as the tears fall around me.
I fall to my knees in desperation as I lose all ability to do nothing but call out “JESUS!”
I fall to my knees, hands lifted above my head, your praises falling from my lips to swirl around me in bursts of love, light and music.
My fingers dance across the black and white keys, the chords singing out my joy at the thankfulness for your gift of music.
I can’t wait to be speaking your praises in the tongues of harps, lyres, and heavenly voices as all the peoples of the world raise one voice towards your holy throne.
My earthly body cannot hold my overjoyed spirit as I dance for you and you only,
weaving my multi-colored flag through the air as I shout “Reckless Love” with all the strength I have left.
