this week we had a teaching of what community is, so this is going to be about the community that ive found here and what it looks like to me.
community is…
selflessness
respecting everyone
someone offering to pay for my choco banana
making pancakes together
laughing together at the stupidest things
dancing in the kitchen while we mop
always having someone to be a listening ear
taking random pictures on a macbook
making a song with eachother
playing the guitar (something im not good at)
painting in the grass together
waking up to encouraging notes on your bed
someone sweeping for you when its your day to clean
giving people your time and putting their needs first
watching two different movies but sitting on the same bed
checking eachothers heads for lice
letting everyone know that they are loved
sharing eachothers clothes
a person showing up to our door with a dozen donuts (donut o’clock)
playing in the pouring rain
and so, so much more. and im so lucky to be able to experience a community like this.
