So a few days ago I went to the World Race training camp. I got to meet my team, sleep in a tent in 90-degree heat and probably 100% humidity, take bucket showers and worship the Lord fully. Training Camp can be stressful and taxing and overwhelming but in complete honesty, I would drop everything right now if I could go back. Why? Because regardless of the stress and hardship and overwhelming aspects and everything else, He’s worth it.

Before Training camp I was faced with, what I thought, was an impossible question.
“why do you want to go on the world race?”
This question was impossible to answer for me. I knew the Lord wanted me to go on the world race and I knew that He had His reason, but I couldn’t figure out why He wanted me to do this. I can confidently say that these past 10 days gave me a reason to do this. The days answered my longing question that I couldn’t answer. What’s the answer??
I want to go on the world race cause He’s worth it.
He’s worth it.
Anything that I’m giving up to do the race is worth giving up cause Jesus is worth it. Being His hands and feet is worth it. Living in community with other people for nine months is worth it. Fundraising 16,600 dollars is worth it. Going to a training camp where I had to sleep in a tent in Ga heat and humidity was worth it. Because He’s so worth it.

One of the last days of training camp we had to sign a paper giving our yes to the leadership team and to God that we would follow the rules of the WorldRace and serve the Lord and our teammates in any way possible. My whole team gave our yes to serving the Lord intensely for the next 10ish months and then forever after that.

I want to challenge you to give your yes to the Lord. Whatever that looks like. Maybe He’s pulling you to missions. Maybe He’s asking you talk to the person you said you would never talk. Maybe He’s asking you to financially support me in my efforts to sharing his love and worth with the rest of the world. Whatever it looks like, I ask you to say yes. See the great adventure He’ll bring you on.
