There was a house. A house that was old and forgotten. A house that had been ignored and rejected. But in the right light, it was made beautiful.

.

I went to an art museum and was amazed and inspired by the art that I saw and experienced. Me and my friends went slowly through the art museum observing all the art for all it had and savoring every moment in this place just try to be inspired by those who had been in the craft a lot longer than we have. There were beautiful paintings and drawings of trees and abstract art explaining the complexity of the civil war all with one goal. To express emotion through a creation. After staying there for about an hour or two my friend said that there was an abandoned house off the property a little and that we should walk to it. So we went.

.

As we arrived and began to walk up to the house I was quite honestly scared. It was abandoned and I am easily scared. The front door was encaged by an old, abandon greenhouse that had rusted pipes and missing panels. The front door was right through the greenhouse and it was dark and a mess. The walls inside the house had the wallpaper peeling off. The floor was filthy like it wasn’t cleaned in a very long time (because it probably wasn’t). But then the sun went down…

.

Everything under the setting sun began to glow. The rusted pipes began to shine. The scary house wasn’t too scary anymore it transformed into pure beauty.

.

.

I think that I often see people like this. I see them as scary and sometimes a mess and I just don’t want to be around there. Then the Lord shows me how they’re beautiful. How they’re worth just as much of the blood of Jesus that I am and how when Holy Spirit comes around how He’s like the sun and shows the beauty out of darkness. There is so much beauty in their darkness because there is so much transformation for the Lord to offer.
