I know it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog, so I’m gonna try to catch you up on everything!

This past month of November we have been in Malaysia. This month was a bit different though because our squad was split up. Four teams were on an island of Malaysia and two teams were on the mainland. My team was on the mainland, and I am so thankful!

Bit of a backstory, Malaysia wasn’t originally on our route. We were told about it at training camp; when they first told us I didn’t know what to think. I wasn’t bummed, but I also wasn’t excited (probably because I had no idea what Malaysia was or where it was). The more I heard about it the more nervous I became about it, but God is so good! This has been the best month yet on the field!

Our ministry was from 8:15am to 12:00pm and then we started again around 8:00pm until 10 or 11:00pm! In the mornings we would do intercessory prayer at the house we were staying at, and then we would all take turns going to a school for kids with special needs. My first day at the school I was able to play volleyball with the kids! OH MY GOODNESS, that was so much fun! I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that I was in Malaysia playing volleyball with the kids there!!!!! That was such a gift from the Lord!

At nights we would alternate between doing house church/ house visits and preaching at the church we were partnering with. Going to the houses was a bit uncomfortable at first because we didn’t really know what we were supposed to do! But, the Lord was faithful through every single one of them. One time we were at this one house and on the way to another house one of our drivers asked four of us to go with him to his friends house. So me and three other girls from my team went with him, and along the way he told us that the mother just found out that she has cancer, and he wanted us to pray for her. We also asked him if they were Christian and he said no; so my mind immediately became excited/nervous! We walked into their home and introduced ourselves and they blessed us with mango juice and traditional Indian cookies! One of my teammates asked to pray over her and she said yes, then we continued to talk with them and get to know them. Before we left for the night we prayed over her again, and she asked us to continue to pray for her! That sparked joy in my heart because that means that she at least has a little hope that our prayers may work! Looking a this family you could tell that they were so strong despite all that they had been going through. They asked us to come back and she would fix us a traditional meal. We told them that we would try to come back, but we weren’t for sure if we would be able to. We truly tried to make it back, but unfortunately we were unable to.

The opportunity to preach was so amazing! They had us preach on Thursday and Friday every week. This is something that I was really excited about getting to do, and I am so happy that the Lord gave me the chance to do it!

The first time I went to go preach they ended up only having one person to do it instead of two, so I waited until the next week. I’m so glad it happened like that because later on I was talking to a squad mate and my squad leader and they both said that the Lord told them that if they had to speak that they needed to speak about Peter waking on the water to Jesus. That was so crazy because that’s what the Lord told me to preach about, so it was a confirmation that I did hear Him correctly, and that He really wanted the congregation to hear that message. So the next week I preached on Peter walking on water, and the Lord took all my nerves away!

Some other opportunities we had while in Malaysia was to be a part of a kid’s Christmas day which they moved to November so that we could participate! That day is a whole other story in and of itself!

We were also asked to be in a music video and we got to wear the traditional Indian wear. It was so much fun! Also, we were able to have a Thanksgiving meal and it was so memorable!

I can’t thank the Lord enough for allowing us to come to Malaysia and meet so many friends! He truly blew my mind this month!
