These are the words I heard the Lord tell me out of the blue…

As I was becoming board of watching tv, I decided to look at some world race blogs. (I love looking at the photo blogs and watching the video blogs, so that’s what I decided to do.) I clicked on one of the video blogs, and as I was watching it I said to myself, “I can’t wait to be out on the field; I’m so excited!” Immediately after that thought went through my head the Lord told me, “Don’t go without Me!”

It seems like at the ending of school and the beginning of summer I put God on my schedule instead of in my daily walk of life. But I believe the core meaning behind what He said to me is something I was reminded of when I was in Costa Rica a couple weeks ago.

Each of the students in my class was to lead a small devotion/share some thoughts after chapel each night while in Costa Rica, and one thing that really hit me that the Lord reminded me of right before we left was something that a girl in my class spoke about one of the first nights.

She quoted the lyrics to a song that say something like this: “So busy doing your work that we forgot this was for You“.

I don’t want to get so caught-up doing “good things” or going through the “motions” of the World Race that I “leave God behind”. I want Him to be the center of the Race, of this summer, and of the rest of my life! If we’re not doing it for the Lord then our labor is in vain; it’s all meaningless. And I know that the Lord didn’t call me and several others to travel across the world for nine months to do meaningless work. He has called  each of us to do His work, for His purposes!

If we don’t let God lead us and give us strength then we will fail because we cannot do this life on our own. So don’t go without Him!!! Invite Him to go with you in this life, because He will never leave you or forget about you, I promise!

As for a little update: My first deadline has been met beyond expectation and earlier than needed! Thank you so much to all who have contributed toward this trip! I am so grateful!!!

My next deadline is $10,000 reflecting in my fundraising summary by August 22!

God has been faithful and I know that He will continue to be!
