I wanted to introduce you guys to my team before I do any other blogs so that you will know a little bit about who I will spend everyday of my ministry with. My team is made up of a group of five girls within my squad that I will be sharing the love of Jesus with everyday for the duration of the trip. Our team’s name is 3.2 because 3.2 is the average speed that a human walks. We, as a team, want to learn to live our lives slowly and not in a rush because Jesus never rushed to anything. We want God to be able to interrupt our lives if He wants. We can’t listen to that very well if we are too busy, and in too much of a hurry to get to the next place and do the next thing. 3.2 is our team name because we want to live interruptible lifestyles.
These girls are extremely important to me, as we will learn to work so well together, to love and serve the people in Guatemala, Ethiopia, Thailand, and Malaysia. Before training camp, our leaders prayed over each person and they asked God to help form our teams. In other words, God hand-picked our teams. This is how intentional the World Race wants to be when it comes to the ministry aspect and working together. I truly do feel like my team is exactly what I need. I love them so much already and see God’s vision in how we work so well together and in how we are able to talk through things with one another.
I wanted these girls to get to share about themselves to you too, so you really get to hear from them. I asked each of them to write a little something about themselves for you guys. On the left side of this blog, you will see the girls that are on my team (yay for a visual of each person!!). Click on their names and read their blogs to hear their hearts too!! Again, I love you all so much and am so excited for this year.

Maegan:
Hello there! I’m Maegan and I’m from Colorado Springs, CO! I am so stoked to get to step out of my comfort zone this next year and learn to hear from the lord more in every aspect of my life. I’m so thankful for our team already and I can’t wait to have community with them for these 9 months!
Brittany:
Now, Brittany does not have a little face on the left side of this page, but that does not make her any less important. Brittany is our team leader. What exactly does that mean? It means that she is with us only for the first three months on the Race, so for Guatemala only. She is the person that will show us how this whole thing works and she answers the questions that we have. She makes sure we are on time to things, as well as guides us in our conversations on how we can better ourselves as a team. She did the Race last year, so she is very familiar with all the ropes. Brittany is intentional, patient, loving, disciplined and wise. I’m so happy and thankful that God chose Brittany to be our team leader. I could not picture anybody else to help me get started with this whole thing!!
“Hi Natalie’s blog followers!! My name is Brittany Standridge! I am from Nashville,Tennessee and I am Natalie’s alumni team leader. What that means is I will be leading her and her team the first 3 months of their race while she is in Guatemala. I did the world race gap year and just got home in June, and God called me back out with this amazing bunch! On my race I went to Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, and Cambodia! I love Guatemala so much and I know this group will love it too. The people in the country and at the base we will be staying at are incredible!! Your Natalie is in good hands;) can’t wait to follow along and update you guys as well on all the growth God’s going to be doing through and in this team. And can’t wait to hear stories about all of y’all from Natalie, she is a joy to do life with!”
