I wanted to update you on some exciting news! The countries on my route have slightly changed! One thing I love about the specific route I am going on is that it is focused on listening and responding to the voice of God, which is why it is called “Unscripted.” With that being said, the Lord is full of surprises and sometimes changes the direction of where we think we are headed. One of the biggest things I believe I am going to grow in on this missions trip is being open to what the Lord has for us and removing any expectations, agenda, or what I think needs to happen and opening my hands to what God wants to do. One of the beautiful things is that our leadership team is praying right alongside us and listening to His voice & His heart for our team and route.
Our leadership team has prayed and felt like there are relationships God wants to deepen in Cusco, Peru! So we will start there! There have been a few other changes as well that were prayed about by our leadership team and I am so stoked that they are listening to His voice. Here is the new look at what my trip may look like:
Peru, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Ethiopia, Spain, Montenegro/Macedonia, Greece, India, Nepal, & Malaysia.
There is a possibility that I will be going to Bolivia still, but we will see where God leads 🙂
God has closed the door on Kenya for now, and has opened another in South Africa! I personally am a little sad that we will not be going to Kenya because that country has always tugged on my heart, but I trust what He is doing and am still so excited.
On a similar note, I am so in awe and filled with thankfulness that the Lord has provided so much for this opportunity already. I feel strengthened and encouraged by so many who have prayed for me, uplifted me, and invested into my trip. I have had people volunteer their time to help make fundraising events happen and I have never felt so loved and blessed. Every seed sown in any way touches the Father’s heart, and I know this is much bigger than me! Ultimately God’s grace has been such a beautiful thing to experience as I have been preparing for this trip and it has been mind-blowing to watch Him provide.
If you haven’t been receiving my support email updates separate from these blogs (let me know if you want in on them), God has provided $12,600 for my trip so far! I am amazed!!!
If all of the boxes in my Adopt-a-Box fundraiser get adopted by December, then I will be 75% funded before I leave in January! This is including what goes to Adventures in Missions to cover travel expenses, food, housing, and what I am raising outside of that to cover personal costs.
Here’s how it works: Each box represents the amount that you would donate (Box #15 = $15). I do a little photography & anyone who adopts a box will be put in a drawing to receive a printed photo from me of your choice!
