In just 8 months, I will be leaving to begin an 11-month journey of sharing Jesus with people across the world (the details can be found in my previous blog post).     I want to give a bit of an update on where my heart is, and where I’m at with everything.

As each day passes and I get closer to my launch date, I am reminded how this isn’t just something I want to do as a way to travel, feel good about myself, or mark off an item on a checklist. I am reminded by God how He has chosen to send me into the nations to accomplish His will. I have felt this call for a couple years, and God has opened the door for me to go. I think of Romans 10:14-15:

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are                   they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?[c] And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Ultimately, here is my heart behind what I am doing – I feel that God has called me to this, and I must be obedient. I desire to see people come to know Jesus and the love of God. There is no greater joy in life, and no other truth worth knowing more. As a child of God, I have the gift of eternal life in Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, given by grace through faith. For me, God is sending me into the nations; I must obey.

Where am I at and how can you help? I’m glad you asked. I am constantly trying to prepare my heart for everything I am about to experience – spiritual warfare, exhaustion, uncomfortable moments, living situations, moving forward in the unknown, etc. I am needing to fundraise support that will allow me to take part in what God is doing around the world for His kingdom and His glory.

There are 2 ways in which you can help. The first is prayer. Please join me in prayer for myself, the others evangelizing and discipling alongside me, the churches we will be working with in each country, those whom we will interact with daily, and everything else that comes with international missions. The second is through financial support. It’s an uncomfortable thing to ask for, but I cannot do this on my own. If you are interested in supporting me monetarily, you can do so by clicking the link at the top of the blog, or you can message me individually. We are called to make disciples of all nations. Even if you are not called to go into the nations yourself, any amount you donate allows you to join in on the work God is doing around the world.

This is not just me going in obedience, but each person who supports me monetarily and through prayer, joins me in obedience to God as well. Together, we are the church; and together, God uses us for His purposes of reaching the lost. Let’s be the church.
