Guys, training has been WILD. We have had jam-packed days of worship, team building, sessions on appropriate ministry for the new culture, bucket showers (more fun than you would expect), food from all over the world, and truth spoken over us.

We’ve gotten the opportunity to train with the 4 other teams going out with Adventures in Missions for the month of July, partnering with them in our preparation to spread the Kingdom. India, South Africa, Guatemala, and Peru teams are also heading out today for a month of ministry in many different forms.

As we finish up our training and prepare to head out to Bangkok, I feel so much gratefulness in my heart for where the Lord has called me in this season. Gratefulness for how the Lord has provided for me through fundraising and generosity. Gratefulness for so many prayers being spoken over myself and my team. Gratefulness for my teammates and the community formed already. Gratefulness for what the Lord has revealed to me in only a few short, Jesus-filled days.

Through all of this, I have gained insight on healthy communication and feedback, the importance of humbling ourselves in obedience to what the Lord calls us to, no matter how big or small that may look. I’ve learned how to listen more intimately to the Holy Spirit’s voice, and the importance of being a servant despite the situation.

Of course, I am still human. I make mistakes over and over again. But I’ve learned the importance of keeping my eyes on Jesus through all of this, and remembering that above EVERYTHING else, His love is the most important thing. We can’t dwell on who we are or our shortcomings because in that we are underestimating God’s grace and forgiveness. This isn’t about me, what I’ve done, or what I’ll do, but about the Lord and what He does through me. I can only accomplish this by offering Him my mistakes as they come while keeping my eyes fixed on Him, looking forward and not clenching onto the past.
