Hey y’all!! Before I go into this post I would like to give a small update on my fundraiser Adopt A Box. It is going really good, I am still doing it so if you want to adopt a box let me know so I can put a sticky note on the board! I have managed to raised almost $1,000 since I announced I was doing this fundraiser!! I am so very grateful to the people who have allowed me to set up my Adopt A Box board in their church and have supported me through these months as I have moved forward with World Race.

I have been told that I have not dedicated a separate blog post on why I chose WRGY. So this post will be dedicated to why I chose to do this program. Now, I am not the best of speaking about my decisions so I will try my best with this. When I came upon World Race on the internet I was searching specifically for Christian gap year programs. When I saw exactly what WR taught, was about and what they do I knew almost immeadiately that I was supposed to go on it. What tugged on my heart and soul on why I should go on the race was to open my heart out to other people who have probably never been ministered to about Christ, and to overcome my fear of speaking to people. I’m not afraid of speaking to people in general but speaking to people or strangers on my own (awkward speech anxiety). Another thing that also “cemented” my decision on going on WRGY was the ability to work with children who needs to be introduced to Christ or just needs some love. Kids are my absolute weakness besides mangoes, lemons, and mini things. 🙂 Also, hopefully I will not only introduce other people to Christ but I hope and pray that this will help strengthen my own walk with Christ and to help me figure out where God is calling me and what His plan is for me. One of the upsides to going on WRGY is that I can start college the same time as my sister, not the same college but just aligning our college years together. Not the main reason but definitely a plus.

I know this is pretty short, but I hope this helps y’all understand my decision!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
