Hey everyone!!
We have arrived at month three of the Race!! Just wanted to open with the prayer for financial partnerships. I am still in need of $7,300 to be fully funded. Raising money over seas has its challenges, but I am believing that God will prepare the hearts of the individuals to give towards growing his kingdom.
Today I feel called to share some true thoughts that have passed through my mind of late. At times, I believe there could be a misconception of what I am actually feeling and doing on the field. The race is challenging and rewarding all in one. Last week I got lice twice and wanted to crawl in hole..

In times when I am frustrated and down and it feels like I am not making a major impact then I am reminded of a saying I am quite fond of that is..
“Life is ministry and ministry is life”
Wherever we go and whatever we are doing can be ministry. I believe that we are led by the Holy Spirit who guides us into conservations and opens opportunities wherever we are, whether that is serving full time in the slums, teaching English at the women’s center, during our daily commutes or even on a spontaneous adventure of paragliding.
Yes you heard it! Yesterday I had the privilege to go paragliding in Pokhara, Nepal!! Initially, I felt slightly guilty due to the fact that it was not a necessity rather a pleasure. Although I used my own personal money I still questioned the decision to go.
Our team and I reflected on the past few weeks. As a whole, we came to a conclusion that we have out-poured to the community and had the tremendous opportunity in Kathmandu to serve and give our talents in many ways.
Yet life is about BALANCE! We cannot give if we are running on empty. Our time with the Father is as important as living out a life on mission. I believe this comes from intentional time spent nurturing a relationship with God himself: In the Word, in prayer, singing songs of praise ,and for me connecting with him through nature.
The paragliding experience was one I will never forget. On the ascend up the Anapurna mountain range, My spirit felt alive with the breath-taking views, I was assured of Gods faithful promise to take care of his kids in every season we walk in and I felt this is exactly where I am suppose to be.
I also felt the nerves and blood pressure slightly rise as I watched several others take off with their large colorful sails from the mountaintop into the abyss. Shortly there after I met my instructor Boaz.

Boaz, was a guy who radiated this spirit of joy and freedom. We connected over our arm tattoos. He commented; you are born to be loved and I am born to fly, I said you are also born to be loved, and in his response he said, well…sometimes..
Immediately I heard the Holy Spirit say.. ”share about me with him”
I got nervous and thought.. how is this going to work.. we are flying in complete open sky together? Share the Gospel? Unlikely. However this nudge in my heart is the nudge of the Father wanting to use us in anyway he sees fit.
A few other fellow flyers jokingly commented.. you have the party flight!! Boaz had some narly jams going on his bluetooth speaker that was now attached to my harness.
Our takeoff was without doubt….EPIC; soaring into the sky with “I love the way you lie” hit single rocking the scene for all to hear.
My heart pounding, we jet into the sky; laughing and sharing a moment together in bird eyes view. I was in awe struck, quite an indescribable feeling.

Boaz and I took go-pro pictures, talked about family, danced in the sky and shared our future ambitions and dreams together. I told him that King Boaz was a famous king in the Bible and how God led him and Ruth and Naomi together to fulfill all their needs.
He said, “Oh wow.. I didn’t know that, how cool”
Although slightly motion sickness, I enjoyed my paragliding experience. I have found that nothing we do in life should be about ourselves. God had much intent and purpose in my time paragliding with Boaz.
In return from the mountain , Boaz told me..
“I really loved our time together, you are so kind and our conversation made me think, thank you for being you”
“Life is ministry.. anywhere and everything you do”
Hope assured.. God uses us in the most unique situations to reach his beloved children. God sees Boaz as more than a paraglide guide but as a son of his, that has an inheritance to his throne.
Thank you Jesus for balance in life, whether on the race or not.. he is doing a good work in and through us always and I get to walk this earth knowing that his plan and ways are higher than my own!! All glory to the everlasting King, the God that makes all things new, and is steadfast in his faithfulness.
“I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.”
Psalms 108:3-5
Amen!!
