On our World Race squad there are 4 teams, all of which are spread out throughout Peru. I believe each person was placed on their team for a reason. I believe that each team was placed in the city or town they are in for a reason. I believe God is going to do amazing things in each place through the individuals He has called for this thing we call the World Race. I also believe God is always faithful in the promises He has for us.

My team and I have been in Peru for just under a week. Our first days consisted of constant travel and so many things to see, leaving us exhausted. We have now arrived and I am stoked to see what God has planned. Arriving at our home for the next month meant quickly settling in and jumping right into ministry. Filled with excitement because WE ARE FINALLY HERE, why wouldn’t we want to start running around with the kiddos, engaging in and starting to build relationships with our new community? Inca Link is the ministry we get to work with this month and the hearts of those involved are so big. The passion for this ministry and love for the Lord is extremely evident here.

We have gotten to meet so many kids, women and men that are involved with Inca Link. Some kids are currently in the ministry, through sports and bible studies, some have been raised up to be leaders, and some of the men and women involved here heard about and saw this ministry and felt called to be apart of it. The values and goals they have are so encouraging. Be Here Now, is something they highly value because they know God has called each one of us to this place for His purpose. I was called away from my family, friends, job, and comfortable life to pursue God (with all my heart) and show His love to those who He puts in life. Right now I am in Peru. That means where my feet are I pray my mind and heart are too.

I want to highlight something that I have seen so clearly that has been a huge blessing. My team. God gave me 6 amazing people to do life with. Although my team may change, God knew that I would need each one of these individuals right now. Kaci is full of energy and it shines so bright. She encourages everyone at all times, always ask questions if she wants to know more, and loves no matter what. Ana speaks the truth in love and isn’t afraid to be who God has called her to be. She has a smile that is contagious and brings so much love and encouragement to the team. I love how intentional her questions are and I think that our team really benefits from them. Kaitlynn is so thoughtful and cares so much for people. She sees those around her and her words are always filled with care and love. Kayla is peaceful and calm, a much needed presence on the team. She is up for anything and has such a servant heart. Also extremely thankful for her translating all the time! Jenny, our team leader, is a people person and shows Jesus’ love to everyone all the time. She will constantly sit down next to strangers on the sidewalk and just talk to them. She is fierce and not scared to be who God created her to be. Alex, our squad leader, is extremely intentional with both what he says and how he interacts with people. He makes you feel seen and heard. He is a true example of a brother in Christ and a faithful servant. Thankful for this team and each of the differences they contribute. They all have a huge heart for the Lord, which overflows as love and encouragement.

With much love,
