Things I’m gonna miss about Thailand:

  • playing monster with the big kids
  • making the babies laugh
  • hearing the kids sing at the nursing home and watching the old people do the motions to the songs with them
  • rooftop worship sessions
  • conversations w the nannies and w Connie
  • small talk with the staff at the coffee shop downstairs
  • going to signature coffee shop and having deep talks with friends or spending time with Jesus
  • beautiful temples right down the road
  • bomb pad Thai
  • $1 banana smoothies
  • 7-11 ham and cheese sandwiches
  • being shoved into a tiny room w my fav people
  • listening to country roads every night from outside the window
  • sprinting across the road through moving traffic

The biggest thing the Lord has taught/shown me these past 2 months:

When I first got here I wanted to learn how to love others deeper but then, like I said in one of my last blogs, He showed me that I have to first know how to love myself. Through that He showed me more of who I am in Him and how to walk in that confidently. And along with that He just keeps expanding my concept of love and of Himself.

The word God gave me for Thailand when I was praying over it before we came was GROWTH and I’ve definitely seen that take place. Not saying that I’m some perfect human now, but I’ve definitely seen myself grow in new ways. I can’t believe it’s only been two months because I already feel like a different person. I’m praying that the Lord will sustain this growth as I carry into Malaysia.

I’ve also seen growth within the squad. We’ve moved from a group of strangers to a family and people who genuinely care about each other and the work the Lord has placed in front of us.

I’ve seen growth within my team and how we choose to love one another and how we’ve gained a deeper understanding of each other. We’ve endured a lot of transition and through that we’ve grown in our positivity and flexibility.

I’ve seen growth within the kids at ministry and our host. I’ve seen the kids come to really love us and I’ve seen our ministry host really come out of her shell and trust us.

The word God gave me for Malaysia was PURPOSE. I don’t know what this is going to mean yet but I’m excited to see how the Lord works through it.

I’m praying in this month He will give me a bigger picture for my life, that He will reveal my passions, and that He will allow us to be apart of some really cool work for the kingdom.

Speaking of, we leave for Malaysia on Wednesday!! Not sure why but this is probably the country that I am most excited for and I cannot wait to see all the Lord does while we are there.

Please be in prayer over our travels and our time and ministry in Malaysia.

much love,

Kenni
